Find models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock. 1. Eufy S1 Pro It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution. The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room. For example, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed – but just a glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided. A large LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance tasks must be completed like emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution. Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is well laid out and easy to understand, though we would have liked to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners may miss. This Roborock model, like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat. This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-filling. The only downside I've discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause abrasions. The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor battery life and component maintenance. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model. 3. Dreame X40 The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time. The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. Additionally, the X40 is extremely quiet during its operation, with only occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks. Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture with low profile which makes it an ideal option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through excessive back-and forth movements. In contrast to other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation. The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it's done. The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance. 4. L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, budget robot vacuum has many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can clean pet hair and other small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is beneficial as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a useful way of keeping your home clean for longer. There's an impressive amount of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options to customize the cleaning process, and there are many features that other robots don't have – such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles rather than using the manual setting. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
